The stains may or may not be traces of semen. If you suspect that your partner has had unprotected sexual relations with another man, this can be detected by our semen detection test. The best samples for this test are, for example, the underwear or slip protection that your partner wore after sexual contact. TYou can test textiles or other objects on which you suspect sperm traces. If you touched the sample, a sperm detection test can still be conducted without any problems and will not affect the result. The sperm detection test costs $214 per sample. Additional Costs: DNA Analysis: Price available upon request If the test result is positive (i.e., sperm can be detected), the question often is: “Whose sperm is it?” You will receive a result after the Semen Detection Test and, if a DNA analysis is also conducted, a DNA report. No, we do not cut up the sample. For an additional fee of $25, we will send the sample back to the address that you provided. This can also be different from your billing address. A DNA comparison with a reference sample (e.g., a mouth swab) is possible after a positive Semen Detection Test. We will send you instructions by email on how to use the mouth swab. A Semen Detection Test will still be possible even after years, provided that the sample is stored dry and not washed.
To be certain, we recommend that you order our semen detection test.
The sample should not have been washed for a semen detection test or touched extensively by others for a DNA comparison. Preferably wrap the sample in paper and not in plastic. If you can, please handle the sample with gloves.
If you did not touch the sample too much, primarily where the trace is located, then a DNA comparison is also possible.
Returning the Sample: $25 per sample
Express Handling: $30 per sample
To avoid getting a false positive test result, you should not have had sexual contact with your partner for several days before the test. By creating a DNA profile from the trace, we can tell you whether female DNA, male DNA, or a mixed trace (i.e., female and male DNA) was detected. A DNA match can be made with reference samples (e.g., mouth swab) if you want to be sure that you are not the person who left the trace.
In the case of a Semen Detection Test, you will receive your result within 14 days. If you choose the express service, you will receive your result within within 7 days.
